Train Ride Coming Soon!!!

YDHAT Newsletter 4-22-13
Young Deaf & Hard of Hearing Awareness Team

Greetings to the YDHAT community! Finally a Blog post!!! This is long overdue, but very much needed.  Please excuse me as I try to navigate through the blogging website a little bit. It's not as easy as I thought. But, finally I am stretching my wings and doing what I do most-Talk, Write, Inform and Gripe! Well, the griping is only necessary if its related to a passionate issue!! Or griping is needed to evoke an emotion or to rally change or cause for children's issues. Change is especially needed for the children in our lives, rather they be our own or someone else. We have to advocate and rally a change for them.

Regardless of why I write, I want to make sure to continue to provide information for our Young Deaf & Hard of Hearing children. Such as the following upcoming event on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday May 5 weekend. The Arkansas Missouri Railroad has partnered with YDHAT once again and will assist us with YDHAT fee discounts for both days of $10 each. The train ride on Saturday, May 4 is from Springdale to VanBuren. This ride leaves at 8 AM and returns at 5pm.There is a 3-4 hour layover at VanBuren for lunch and shopping. The train ride on Sunday May 5 leaves at 1 PM and returns at 5 PM.  They will serve snacks and meals for those that need them. All tickets are at a special for YDHAT group members only. Please email me at ydhateam@yahoo.com  your interest in joining for the train ride and specify which day. I will add your name to the YDHAT sign up list that will be on the train log.  Please reserve by Tuesday, April 30, 2013.  Thanks and enjoy the ride!!!
